This resort is one of the best I’ve ever stayed at, it oozes luxury and elegance and is situated right on the beach front. It’s a visual masterpiece, as soon as we pulled up to the entrance I knew we were in for a treat! The lobby makes a bold statement with its grand timber rotunda ceiling towering above you and its beautifully decorated reception area.
The check in process was smooth and hassle free, being Club Millesime members we were taken to the club counter where we sat with hot towels and welcome drinks as the reception staff completed checking us in (we booked for five nights).
We were then taken to our room – Luxury king with plunge pool. We were given a beautiful corner room which was extremely spacious with a terrace to walk out on and step into the private plunge pool. There’s even a small garden area and a hanging chair for your relaxing pleasure! The room was modern and tastefully furnished with both Balinese and French influences. The bathroom was stunning – It was open concept but if you’re travelling with others and want privacy you can simply pull the sliding doors across.
Sanjay & I were celebrating our five year anniversary at the time and the staff left a delish little cake in the room for us along with a hand written note and a fruit platter, such a thoughtful and lovely thing to do!
Wifi is complementary throughout the resort, including in the rooms and even work out on the beach if you feel so inclined to use it while lying on a beach lounger listening to the waves crash. Speaking of the beach the resort has direct beach access and sets up loungers for guests each day, make sure you get there early to secure the best spot! The Beach Bar and Grill is right next to the sand so getting drinks/food while on the beach is not an issue.
The resort pool area is gorgeous, lined with Palm and Frangipani trees, compromising the main lagoon pool with a jacuzzi zone inside and a separate children’s pool and the L’Oh Bar. There is a daily water aerobics session, which I loved and made a point of going to each morning.
The breakfast buffet at Kwee Zeen restaurant amazing! Based on a food market concept the restaurant is spilt into different sections encompassing the different varieties of food they have on offer. There is even a juice bar where a huge variety of fruit is displayed, you pick what you’d like and place it in a basket then give it to the staff, they freshly juice it for you then bring it to your table! They also apparently make divine coffees, Sanjay is a coffee connoisseur and said it was up there with some of the best he’s ever had! Unfortunately I don’t really have photos of the breakfast buffet, I was too obsessed with feeding my face!
Le Bar is the lobby bar and it overlooks the stunning surrounds of the resort, it’s a great place to watch the fire show at night.
I left my phone in the restaurant one night and as you can imagine I was freaking out about it – We went back to the restaurant when we realised I’d forgotten it but it was no longer open for service, we then went to reception, the staff member the desk said “pink phone”? I said “yes”! I didn’t even have to ask, they were just waiting for me to come and collect it!
The staff here are kind and extremely attentive, you’re always greeted with a smile and they’ll go out of their way to make your stay a delightfully memorable one. Ours most certainly was, there is no doubt that we’ll go back again!
